Blackberry and Plum Compôte

Recipe Serves 8 to 12

Fabulous for breakfast to start the day or as a quick and easy dessert.


Top Tips

 

Ingredients

1 x 300g box Creative Gourmet frozen Blackberries
1 x 825g can whole plums in natural juices
2 whole cloves
1 cinnamon stick

Instructions

  1. Place all the ingredients in a saucepan and slowly bring to the boil. Reduce heat and simmer until blackberries are plump and juicy. Using a slotted spoon remove fruit to a bowl and continue to rapidly boil liquid until reduced by half. Pour over fruit. Cool, cover and refrigerate.
  2. Serve with cereal or yoghurt for breakfast or with ice-cream for dessert.
